Company Girl Coffee 10.8.10

Hello Company Girls. It's been many months since I've been able to join you. Life has been quite a whirl here as homeschooling season got started. The worst Florida summer is over. Now it is officially fall, although it still gets hot in the early afternoon. Weather survival hinges on layering- start with a light sweater in the morning, bare down into camis by midday and head to the beach, then put on your sweater again for dinner. Pretty soon we won't be able to get by with flipflops either.

How about you? Are you enjoying the crisp fall leaves? Do you look out and see the beautiful painted leaves? Our seagrass is turning golden brown. My children found a couple of crunchy leaves to jump on. Here, you have to spread them out because each crunch counts when there are so few leaves that fall. Irregardless of the lack of scenery, we can make it more festive indoors with pumpkin bread, apple pies, and hot cocoa.

Don't you love the fall? Share your thoughts and link-up with all the Company Girls.

  1. Glad to have you today. It is absolutely gorgeous fall weather here in NE Louisiana and we were so ready for it! Enjoyed stopping by and do hope you can drop by sometime this weekend as well.

    Abundant blessings to you!

  2. I love the fall, but I also love Florida. We go there every summer. We're in Texas, so I get you with the cool mornings and warm afternoons.

  3. LOVE the fall! The weather is cool in the am but beautiful by the afternoon. Can't wait for the leaves to be in full color! Have a great weekend!

  4. I love the fall. In GA it is one of the most beautiful times of the year. Right now we have to layer as well, since it's getting hot in the afternoons, too.

  5. Welcome back! Not much of a "Fall" over here either in the San Francisco Bay Area...well, some areas only. We have to use our imaginations sometimes. =p

  6. Yes, Fall is one of my fav's!! I'm also a deep south girl here in MS. Those cool crisp days are such a blessing after the long brutal summer. We made caramel apples last week, pumpkin bread before that(I was trying to usher in the fall!) and I look forward to what I call "SOUP SEASON".
    Have a blessed week!

Love to hear what you think! Leave a little note to let me know you dropped by today.
