Coffee Time!

I'm loving having you over for coffee! In college, my roommates were Vietnamese and loved to drink iced coffee: strong black coffee plus sweetened condensed milk poured over a glass of ice. So yummy! I prefer no ice while it's still winter.

The highlight of my week was getting the kids to bed by 7pm and taking a nice long bath. I don't remember the last time I soaked and read a book uninterrupted. I plan to fit that in my weekly schedule!

We started back up yesterday with our homeschool co-op group. In preschool art, the kids read snowy days storybooks. For craft, they made this cute paper bag decked with marshmallows. Using the stapler was hands-down their favorite part! Who would have thought?

The rest of the week is a blur to me, mainly because of all the cleaning and shopping that had to be done. With the weekend underway, I'm looking forward to catching up on blogging and maybe some sewing. There's a lot of tulle calling out to me!

Wondering what being a Company Girl is all about? Visit Home Sanctuary or see all the Coffee links this week to learn more. It's great fun, I hope you'll join us.

  1. Oh a bubble bath sounds SO good right now!! Maybe I can squeeze one in tonight! (If I'm not too exhausted, that is!)
    Have a great weekend!

  2. Thanks for dropping by! It's good to have company! It does look from your list of grocery stores like you're anywhere nearby, but if your MOPS group wants to join with ours, let me know! leiacellaa23 @ hotmail . com

  3. Thank you so much for putting me on to that Rita Springer was very comforting. Hope you have time for a nice long soak again!

  4. Oh you make me drool for the soak in the tub. Does that sound funny. Well you've given me a great idea. The only problem is I need to clean the tub first. Minimal tasks don't work if you don't the other half lol. Thanks for coming over today. I enjoyed your post.
    Have a Blessed Weekend,

  5. Woohoo!! Asians representin' here on Company Girl Coffee. haha =p Thanks for stopping by. Yeah, the baby's got a hawk going on, and there's definitely no way to control the wildness. It's her signature look so I wouldn't have it any other way. I saw you have some savings talk on your site. I'll be back by to take a look around. Have a wonderful weekend.

  6. Congratulations on the bath! That is a special occasion! YAY for you!

  7. I think your plan to fit the bubble bath and uninterrupted book time into your weekly schedule sounds phenomenal! Good luck with that and have a wonderful weekend! :)

  8. The bubble bath sounds like a good idea. It should definitely be added to your weekly routine whenever possible.

  9. Hello to another Company Girl. Thanks for the virtual cup of coffee. I had a long soak in a hot bath tonight, too--first time in a long time, and I always ask myself, "Why don't I do this more often?" Looking fwd to tooling around your blog for some money saving tips. What do you recommend for saving on carpet?

  10. Wow, uninterupted bath time. Sounds heavenly!

Cute art project as a teacher I thought I had seen most of them but that one is a new one for me! I am sure they did have fun! :)

  11. I dream of having a jet tub someday, with a lock on the bathroom door! :)

What a great project. I need to do more fun projects with my pre-schoolers. They always love project time.

    Have a great week!

  12. I love being able to enjoy a nice soak, with a good book, and sometimes a nice glass of red wine! I've been reading about your grocery deals. Amazing! We live on a military base without many other stores nearby. I always think I'll try and do more to save money just at the commissary but I have yet to set my mind to it. Thanks for your inspiration!

Love to hear what you think! Leave a little note to let me know you dropped by today.
