Walgreens is back on my Good List!

I have not been at Walgreens since March! Last week I bought 3 Ecotrin for FREE with my coupons. And then I got $6 in Register Rewards (RR) back for buying them (that's a $6 moneymaker). But I've had these RR expire on me twice! (They expire in 2 weeks or so after purchase so always try to use them ASAP if you get them.) I printed a $5 off $25 coupon (I saw the post on Money Saving Mom). It was only good for Tuesday and Weds. So it was an opportune time to cash in the RR from last week. I bought the items above for only $10.89, plus I got $5 RR!

Here is the breakdown of the transaction:
$3.99 Bertolli Olive Oil
$4.49 x 3 All Detergent
$3.79 Ziploc Bags
$3.29 Ziploc Bags
$1.09 Reflections Cutlery
-------------------------
$25.63 Subtotal

-$5 Walgreens coupon ($5 off $25)
-$0.40 All coupon
-$1 Ziploc Coupon
-$6 Walgreens RR coupons
-$3.10 Ziploc price adjustment*
-------------------------------
$10.89 Total
Plus I got a $5 Walgreens RR
So the Total after the RR is only $5.89
I saved $19.74, a 77% discount!

*The weekly ad has an in-store Wags. coupon making these $1.99 each. But it looks like they messed up my receipt and did not give me the $1.99 sale price so I have to get it adjusted tomorrow! That's a common problem I have with Walgreens. But they are right across from Publix and I have to go there to get WIC anyway, so I can stop by Walgreens.

  1. Looks like it's a GOOD thing the Ziplock didn't ring up correctly, otherwise you wouldn't have had a high enough total to use the $5/$25 coupon! Sometimes things just work out better when they mess up, LOL! : )
